Joji’s ukuleles are known for their remarkable craftsmanship, attention to detail and balanced tones with several of Japan’s most famous celebrities and musicians alike enjoying his finely handcrafted works of art.
This beautiful Custom Joji Yoshida Tenor Ukulele exemplifies the Japanese art of simple elegance and lends itself to being both aesthetically pleasing and a wonderful playing full custom ukulele. Joji uses nothing but the finest woods in the world, much of which is a substantially higher grade than what is typically found on the landscape of available ukuleles on the market.
In this instance, the body was handcrafted with a rare set of master grade Katalox wood back and sides – a dense hard wood, among the densest and strongest woods available in the world. It is in the family of ebony woods that offers wonderful low range and full sound. The world famous ‘Lucky Strike’ Redwood was discovered in the 1990s as a storm-downed giant sequoia tree and has become an iconic tree among guitar and ukulele luthiers worldwide since its discovery. The tree is estimated to be 600 – 800 years old and is known for its unparalleled, uniform grain and density that provide some of the best soundboards imaginable, making for a remarkable tone in the right hands of a master luthier. Rare curly Honduras Mahogany wood neck with the famous Mahogany wood headstock plate and rosette from the legendary ‘The Tree’. African Ebony wood fingerboard, bridge, and top and back binding add to the beauty and appeal of this gorgeous ukulele. Professional Gilbert Tuners for precise and smooth tuning, these tuners are regarded as some of the best in the world. Turquoise colored reconstructed stone rosette with matching position markers on positions 5, 7, and 10, giving contrast to the more subdued natural hues of the wood and overall theme of the instrument. Gorgeous top and back abalone shell inlay with matching center seam inlay on the back for added appeal. 17″ Scale Length, 35mm Nut Width. Jescar EVO Gold Fret – made in Germany. French Polish Finish.
