Custom Island Traditions Ukulele. Beautiful and extremely rare Custom Island Traditions tenor ukulele by Robin Gleason of Keaʻau, Hawaii. Robin is the son of famed ukulele builder Bob Gleason of Pegasus Ukuleles and has established himself as one of Hawaii’s best upcoming builders.

This gorgeous piece is handcrafted of master grade curly Koa face, back and sides with perfectly quartersawn cedar wood neck. Abalone shell rosette and top purfling and classic Island Traditions Mt. Mauna Kea inlay of abalone and recon stone on headstock. Rosewood bridge and fretboard with 12” radius on fretboard for ease of play. Bocote wood binding on top and back and beautiful Bocote wood canoe paddling scene of wood inlay on the fretboard. Closed geared tuners for precise tuning and high gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish.

Excellent player ukulele and a very rare piece. Robin is backlogged over two years and is currently not accepting any orders for any of his wonderful instruments. This beautiful piece is characterized with nice deep lows with well-balanced highs and mid-range.  Exceptional projection and sustain and tones that ring true Hawaii from one of Hawaii’s best upcoming luthiers!
