Beautiful custom tenor ukulele handcrafted by master luthier and Pastor Woodley White of Na’alehu on the Big Island of Hawaii. This wonderful custom Ukulele Pu`uwai, or “Heart” ukulele, is crafted from a gorgeous Hawaiian Koa wood top, back, and sides, Ebony wood fretboard, Ebony wood bridge, rosewood top and back binding with a stylish matching Ebony wood headstock plate. The neck is carved from toon wood for added stability and the soundboard has elegant black-white purfling lines for a classy appeal. Gorgeous paua shell rosette with matching fretboard position markers for easy identification on positions 3, 5, 7, 10, and 12. Bone nut and saddle and a high gloss finish for added durability and mirror-like sheen. The instrument also boasts a single side sound ports for monitor like projection. ‘Kihikihi’ reef fish theme inlay on the headstock was the inspiration for this beautiful piece. Nitrocellulose gloss finish.
Rich and complex tones with excellent sustain, clarity, and projection. A wonderful warm sound that is excellent for many genre’s of music. The instrument is very well balanced tonally all the way up the neck and spot on intonation as well. Highly recommended player piece.
