1920s Paul Summers ‘Hawaiian Koa’ Guitar
Beautiful and extremely rare 1920s Paul Summers Guitar in refurbished condition. This gorgeous piece is only one of a few guitars handcrafted by Paul Summers.
Paul Summers guitars are tremendously rare and highly collectible Hawaiian instruments. This one is handcrafted in the spanish style construction out of gorgeous Hawaiian Koa wood face, back, sides, fretboard and bridge. The neck is hand carved from Mahogany wood. The instrument also boasts an elegant 3-ring concentric circle rosette, staggered bridge pin set up, and original slotted-headstock tuners set in reverse position for lap steel play.
A few repairs have been done to the instrument. Very warm tones with a classic vintage sound from one of Hawaii’s former ukulele and guitar luthiers. A wonderful piece of history that is seldom available for purchase. ID#:180170
