All ukulele appraisals will be charged a $50.00 fee per instrument and advance payment is required. Please see the Buying & Selling page for more information about payment options and procedures. An electronic copy will be provided via email and a hard copy of the ukulele appraisal will also be mailed to your physical mailing address. To submit an ukulele appraisal request please follow the following steps:
  • Step 1: Email info@ukulelefriend.com with your request. In the subject line please indicate ‘APPRAISAL REQUEST’
  • Step 2: Submit clear photos of the front, back, both sides of the ukulele, the neck, headstock, butt, neck joint, and fretboard of the ukulele.
  • Step 3: Serial numbers and any other numbers, including the area where these numbers are found. (i.e. inside of the soundhole, on the neck-block, or the headstock.)
  • Step 4: Descriptions of any modifications or damage or repairs not easily visible in the photos. Please also submit close-up photos of these areas as well.
  • Step 5: Wait for email reply of approval from Ukulele Friend before proceeding with steps 6 and 7. Although we specialize in vintage, custom, and production made ukuleles we do not lay claim to know of all builders/ makers worldwide over the past one hundred years the instrument has been in existence. Consequently, we will only proceed with appraisals for approved requests.
  • Step 6: Upon approval of request a payment of $50 per instrument. (Please see ‘Buy/Sell’ tab above for payment options and procedures.)
  • Step 7: Email physical mailing address, including daytime phone number and email address.
